Knautical KnittingFraserburgh is a well know herring town. We need you to knit us a fish. We're going to fill our Net Drying Area and our Exhibition Room with knitted fish! We will have a fish auction in September.
Please knit us a fish and send it to the Museum. What is this project about? Knautical Knitting is part of the Fish Exchange, a series of projects by artist Deirdre Nelson. It follows Kinnaird Kaleidoscope Knitting which covered the Net Drying Area with knitted lighthouses. Want to know how to knit a fish? Drop in to the Museum pick up a pattern or contact us and we will send you one. This is a basic fish pattern, you can improve and embellish it in any way you like. Want to hear the latest about the project? Find out the latest news here or read Deirdre Nelson's blog. |
