1875 Chicken Rock Light completed off the Isle of Man

The Chicken Rock was also one of the Stevenson's great achievements. It was conceived by David and Thomas Stevenson and was known as the Manx Eddystone after the problematic lighthouse on the Eddystone Rocks. It was built on a tiny reef off the coast of the island and presented the Stevenson's with yet another difficult challenge.
