July - September 2011

1st & 2nd July Portsoy Boat Festival

The Museum will be at Portsoy Boat Festival making lighthouses in the tent in front of the Salmon Bothy. Come and say hello.

Tuesdays 10-12 - Under the Sea Activities

Craft activities will take place throughout the school holidays on the theme of Under the Sea. Click here for a full listing.

28th July 1-4pm - Aberdeenshire Street Sports

Come and have a kick about in the Museum's car park with the Steet Sport team. Click here for further information.

21st & 22nd August International Lighthouse Weekend

Join in the fun on International Ligthouse Weekend. Workshops and radio links with lighthouses accross the world will all take place over the weekend.

26th & 27th August Wizard Festival

The Museum will have a stand in the Wee Wizards tent building lighthouses for families throughout the Wizard Festival.

6th September-31st October - Knautical Knitting exhibition for North East Open Studios

Come and join in the knitted fun. We have asked people to knit fish as part of Kautical Knitting.

Our knitted fish will be on display throughout September as part of North East Open Studios. We will also be running a fish auction to raise funds for the Museum. The Museum will also stock NEOS catalogues.

12th-18th September - Techfest

The Museum will be building lighthouses with schools and members of the public all through the Techfest week.

17th September - Doors Open Day

The Museum will be free for entry and we will run tours out to the Wine Tower for Doors Open Day this year.

22nd September - Fish Auction - 6-8pm

A local auctioneer will be auctioning off some of our stunning fish in style. Come and bid for your favorite fish. Further fish will be available for sale. All proceeds of the fish sale go to supporting The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses.
