Planning Your School VisitThe Museum of Scottish Lighthouses is a great place for teacher-led school groups. The four capacities are encapsulated in the lighthouse experience and we provide a cultural experience entitlement. Booking ... Phone us on 01346 511022 or use our contact form to arrange your visit. When you have booked your visit and resources we will send you a confirmation slip with information about the site. Please contact us if you have booked and not recieved this slip. If you wish to use any resources or want one of our new short taught sessions please let our staff know when you book. Before you arrive ... We have a variety of cross curricular resources available to schools. These are great for pre and post-visit work, as well as ideas for working in the Museum. We don't have a specific risk assessment because we know that every group is different, but we can help you to create one. When you arrive ... We will take you outside and give your group a 30-45 min tour up Kinnaird Head Lighthouse. If your group is larger than 20, we will arrange two or more tours. After your tour your group is free to visit the Museum on your own. During your visit, you will be based in a suite of rooms in the lighthouse cottages. You can use these for teacher-led sessions with our resources, and as space to eat lunch. This is FREE for pre-booked groups but can be booked seperately by education groups at half price of £20 per half day. More Information. Payment ... We charge £1 per school child. Aduts accompanying school children vist free at a ratio of one adult to five children. We will charge any additional adults at the group adult rate of £4.50. If you can't visit ...
