Scottish Lighthouse Museums

All operating lighthouses in Scotland are run by the Northern Lighthouse Board. Some lighthouses are museums or visitor centres. These are mostly run by independent trusts.

This list includes museums with major lighthouse collections on display as well as lighthouses open to the public. If you are interested in tracing your lighthouse ancestors please get in contact with us at the Museum or have a look at this guide from the National Archives for Scotland.
